The assemblage of the exhibition on biodiversity, Maputo City’s Fortress
During the past months, the COBIO-NET team has been preparing an exhibition about Maputo Bay’s biodiversity and coastal marine resources. It was assembled in February 2023 and inaugurated on day 23.
The exhibition is distributed over six rooms and occupies the entire exhibition space of the Fortress, including thematic panels, objects from museological collections and traditional use, as well as a documentary video made within the scope of the COBIO-NET project. Educational pathways were created for various levels of education with the collaboration of the Portuguese School of Mozambique.
The exhibition was funded and supported by FCT, AKDN, BIOFUND, UNEP/Nairobi Convention, EBMI-UEM, Maputo Fortress and Maputo’s Portuguese School.
