  • Online Course

Under the supervision of MUHNAC with the collaboration of the African partners, this project aims to develop two exhibitions – at MHN Maputo and at RBP – with concomitant production of dissemination materials within the scope of tasks 2 and 3. The exhibitions will open to the public by August 2021.These exhibitions will be accessible to wider audiences and intend to raise public awareness on the importance of coastal areas biodiversity for food security and human well-being as well as on the use of collections to study pressing issues related to biodiversity loss and global change.

For this purpose MUHNAC has organized a course using Zoom platform, since it has been impossible to travel between the different countries of the project partners due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The course was created to convey to researchers and technicians of the institutions the processes involved in setting up an exhibition, from the construction of the idea, the script, the formation of multidisciplinary teams, to the final choice of the exhibition design.

The trainer of the course was Rogério Abreu of the MUHNAC exhibition team and took place on 27 and 28 October 2020 and had the participation of 14 participants, belonging to MHNM, EBMI, FP and RBP.
